Since the average DKP isn't changing much across the guild, we're updating the main swap program. The cost is now the average DKP of the guild active members. You need to have the entire cost available to swap so no more financing. All of the same previous rules still apply, such as having the class open for recruitment and your balance/history all transfers over.
As a reference, the cost to swap before tonight's raid starts is 290 DKP.
We dedciate this one to all our Akhevan homies down in Vex Thal...
You are my Ha Ra,
My only Ha Ra,
You make me happy
When your name turns grey.
You'll never know, Aten,
How much I rekt you,
Please loot Aten Ha Ra all day.
Our crew got together after serenading Aten Ha Ra for a group shot, since all major Shadows of Luclin bossses are now on farm status.
After we noticed the number of kill messages for Emperor sssseemed to almost disappear for sssstrange reason, we had no choice but to ssssssslither over to the Temple of Sssssssraehza and chillax with the Emperor. Dead danger noodle.

When the Knights moved into Sanctus Seru, it really seemed like we found a place to settle down. It seemed like everything we needed was here in one place. There was an arena for all of the anti-druid rage, an Olympic sized swimming pool, individual guild houses so we can keep Ashenwolf and Korad apart, and a jail for Bowl to throw our misfits in when they open doors on raids. Sanctus Seru even had a fountian to quinch our thirsty members so the music playing in Discord could be toned down a notch.
We found a sweet building to keep our treasures and hold officer meetings in the middle of the zone. There was a problem though... When we ported ourselves into the officer building, there was already some dude saying he was the lord of the fortress. He rambled on about racial purity in his empire, wanting to murder Tsaph Katta, and not ruining his lands...but he got sassy and didn't want to go back to the kitchen so we put him in his place.
Sorry there's not much left of the Lord Inquisitor Seru over in the left corner. Now that we have a new headquarters, we should formally share the new leadership structure of the Knights of Vallon Zek and their primary responsibily:
Even though Sanctus Seru is now Fort KoVZ, the officers will all share responsibiliteis and the decision making together. Raid responsibly, my friends.
Better late than never but another shout out to our top raiders from Velious! The competition in Velious was much stiffer than Kunark.
|#||Raider||Number of Raids||#||Raider||Number of Raids|
Congratulations to Cahal, Grogak, Tinkl, and Toridan for keeping 100% raid attenance through Kunark. Cahal and Toridan each received a dusty, old krono at the end of our last Velious expansion raid night to help him remember the angry Bowl moments!
With the transition into the Shadows of Luclin, we will be curbing back the number of raid targets that show up as individual events in our DKP system. The intention of this change is to restore some of my sanity while making attendance and DKP more predictable.
As a result of this change, if you missed many raids towards the end of Velious, you'll notice your raid attendance percentage is dropping like Clifford's pants. For the next couple weeks, we will not be updating anyone's attendance in game that falls below 50% so the number of events in the attendance sample size can average out.
As another reminder, we announced the introduction of DKP bonuses for recruiting new members into the guild. For the record, each new recruit that becomes a full member will grant a one time 25 DKP bonus to the names listed as referrals in their application. If there are multiple referrals, the the DKP is split amongst those members.
For example, Korbanx is our first new recruit that joined us after this announcement was made. If she successfully completes recruitment and is promoted to full member, then Carrotz and Deeke will each recieve 12 DKP because she has listed both of these spectacular members as referals. The remaining 1 DKP is tax to the king because he hates odd numbers. If a third name had been listed, each member would have received 8 DKP.
Today's raid will be our last raid of Velious. We will not be doing a preraid clear but we will kill Tunare and several other raid targets starting at 7:30PM EST. Since it is the last raid before Shadows of Luclin launches, we'll twist in a few special events tonight so please join us!
On Friday night's raid, we announced that we've reopened the ability to main swap. After the launch of Velious, all main swap requests were being denied since each request was being reviewed individually and officers could not get a majority vote to approve requests. With the latest leadership change, we've decided to make main swaps more of a science than opinion of officers. We'll be using our DKP system to determine eligibility.
The leadership team has implemented the policy for main swaps:
- Cost to swap is two times the DKP average of the guild.
- New class must be open for recruitment on our website.
- You need at least 50% of the DKP fee to swap immediately.
If you heard the announcement on Friday, you'll note one revision in the policy above. For those of you that want to swap immediately but can't afford the charge yet, you're now able to finance 50% of the swap fee using your KoVZ credit card. Under this option, you'll be able to main swap immediatley but be negative on your new primary. If the main swap cost continues to rise, we'll evaluate an option to use the recruitment demand to lower the cost of medium and high demand classes.
Also, we're now accepting applications for Beastlords. If you wish to apply as a Beastlord, the expectation is that your character should be level 60 within two weeks of the launch. As with any class, you won't be eligible to raid until you're character is level 60. We only expect to approve 2-3 active raiding Beastlords.
After hearing the guild's feedback, we will not be officially raiding this weekend. We will move some of the Sunday night targets to Wednesday, but you are free to create your own pickup raids/groups for the following Velious expeditions this Sunday:
- Dragon Necropolis
- Plane of Fear
- Plane of Growth
- Western Wastes
- Velektor's Labyrinth
Feel free to use all classic and Kunark expeditions as well. See you Wednesday!
